Celeste Cairns lives in her forever home in Carteret County with her husband, Rob. She graduated from the University of Georgia with honors, earning a degree in business administration. Celeste began her career with Deloitte, a multinational consulting and accounting firm, and then worked in the audit and consulting departments of Willis Corroon Corporation and HCA Healthcare Corporation. Celeste’s extensive experience as a CPA in the private sector has given her clear insight into the types of government laws and regulation that hurt our economy. In Congress, she will be a fresh voice for North Carolina’s 3rd District, prioritizing job creation and economic growth.
After many successful years in the private sector, Celeste and her family moved where the U.S. Army sent them. Celeste’s husband, coming from a family with a long history of military service, graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and spent the majority of his 20+ years of service as a U.S Army Special Forces Officer (Green Beret). As a military wife and mom, Celeste understands first-hand the sacrifices made by the men and women of our Armed Forces and their families.
After her husband retired overseas, they remained for several years working for the U.S. Navy in Europe before returning to North Carolina where Rob works for the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune. Both of their children, Nathaniel and Kathryn, attend East Carolina University. Kathryn is an Army ROTC cadet and intends to serve our nation’s wounded warriors after completing her training as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Coming from a family that puts service before self, Celeste believes that it is her duty to represent the 3rd Congressional District by bringing Eastern North Carolina conservative values to Washington. She has been an unwavering advocate for the unborn. Celeste has served for the last three years on the Board of Directors of a local Pregnancy Resource Center, and in the past has volunteered as a client advocate and counselor. In addition to her other responsibilities and commitments, Celeste enjoys volunteering with her local Sea Turtle Patrol.
Celeste is originally from Valdosta, Georgia, where her parents impressed on her the value and importance of faith, hard work, and community and family. Her parents still reside there in the home in which she was raised.
